The Commission of Inquiry also alleged crimes against humanity in the West Bank; Israel called the report a misinformation campaign and demanded the body be dissolved.

A commission of inquiry set up by the UN Human Rights Council said on Monday that Israel is continuing to commit genocide in Gaza despite the October 2025 ceasefire, and accused Israeli soldiers and prison guards of crimes against humanity in the West Bank.

The three-member panel, chaired by Srinivasan Muralidhar, said Israeli forces had expanded their control of Gaza from 53 per cent of the territory to at least 60 per cent since the ceasefire, and that at least 196 Palestinians had been killed along the advancing front line. It also documented cases of sexual violence against detainees at Sde Teiman.

The report said 34,176 West Bank Palestinians remained displaced as of August, the largest displacement there since 1967, and criticised the Palestinian Authority for targeting critics and journalists.

Israel's mission in Geneva called the report a misinformation campaign and called for the commission to be dissolved. Israel rejects the genocide allegation and accuses the council of bias.
