A young Palestinian man was shot in the foot with live ammunition near the Huwara military checkpoint, south of Nablus, on Tuesday, WAFA reported.

Imad Ahmad, who heads the Palestine Red Crescent's ambulance centre in Nablus, said Israeli forces initially prevented paramedics from reaching him before allowing them access. The crew was taking him to hospital for treatment.

The young man's name and condition were not released. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army.
