Abbas meets new Iraqi prime minister in Amman
The Palestinian president briefed Ali al-Zaidi on Gaza and the West Bank and on the PA's financial crisis, which he blamed on $7bn in withheld revenues.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi and his delegation in Amman on Monday, congratulating him on taking office and thanking Iraq for its aid, its support for UNRWA and for treating wounded Palestinians from Gaza, WAFA reported.
Abbas briefed al-Zaidi on the humanitarian situation in Gaza and on Israeli military operations in the West Bank, and said the Palestinian Authority faces a severe financial squeeze because Israel is withholding about $7 billion in clearance revenues.
“Palestine is an integral part of Iraq's identity and national position.”
