Jordan strikes armed groups in Syria over Karak church attack
Jordan's air force said it hit groups linked to Friday's deadly attack; Syria said seven civilians, including three children, were killed in Daraa and Sweida.

Jordan's air force carried out strikes on Monday night against armed groups in Syria that it said were tied to Friday's attack on a Greek Orthodox church in Karak, which killed nine people. The military said many fighters were killed or wounded but did not name the groups or the locations.
Syria's civil defence said it recovered seven bodies from strikes in Daraa and Sweida provinces, including five members of one family killed in a tent in rural Daraa. Damascus said Jordan had acted without coordinating with it and closed its main border crossing with Jordan.

King Abdullah II of Jordan
Jordanian police arrested three Jordanian men, two brothers and their brother-in-law, after a dawn shootout on Monday, and said the attackers were extremists not linked to any organised group. King Abdullah II ordered an iron-fist response.
